India Exit Early at 2025 French Open

India’s campaign at the 2025 French Open ended with no player advancing beyond the second round. Unnati Hooda, who had reached round two after rallying past Letshanaa Karupathevan, was defeated by world No.2 Wang Zhiyi 21-14, 21-11 in 39 minutes. Top men's doubles Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty were upset in the first round by Indonesia’s Rahmat Hidayat and Muhammad Rian Ardianto 21-18, 22-20. Lakshya Sen lost his opening match to Ireland’s Nhat Nguyen. Mixed doubles pair Rohan Kapoor and Ruthvika Gadde fell to France’s Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue 21-23, 8-21, 17-21, and women’s doubles duo Kavipriya Selvam and Simran Singhi were beaten 21-7, 21-9 by South Korea’s Kim Hye Jeong and Kong Hee Yong.
