Net-A-Porter Founder Sues Ex for $95M Fraud, Sex Addiction Claims
Dame Natalie Massenet, founder of Net-a-Porter and former chair of the British Fashion Council, is suing her ex-partner Erik Torstensson, accusing him of living a secret double life as a sex addict with rampant drug use, prostitutes, and multiple affairs during their 14-year relationship. Massenet alleges she bankrolled Torstensson's extravagant lifestyle and business ventures, spending over $95 million on properties, lifestyle expenses, and vacations, based on his promises to repay her, but he instead exploited her financially and socially. The lawsuit claims Torstensson confessed to being a liar, drug addict, alcoholic, and sex addict, and that he used the relationship to gain power, influence, and wealth while cutting Massenet out of earnings from their business dealings. The couple, who share a son via surrogate, started to experience serious issues in 2024 when Massenet noticed his heavy drinking and nighttime disappearances, leading to uncovering explicit texts, photos, and evidence of affairs. Despite attempts at counseling, Torstensson ended the relationship in May 2025 after confessing his addictions and secret life. Massenet is seeking damages for breach of contract, fraud, and emotional distress, while Torstensson has yet to respond to the claims in court.
