Disney Jr. Adds Cars, Avengers, Marvel Specials

Disney Jr. has expanded its preschool programming with new series and specials featuring popular franchises. 'Cars: Lightning Racers' will debut in 2027, with Owen Wilson and Larry the Cable Guy returning as Lightning McQueen and Mater, and introducing new characters Pipes and Miles. 'Marvel’s Avengers: Mightiest Friends,' the first preschool-focused Avengers series, will also premiere in 2027 with kid versions of major heroes including Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Black Panther, Black Widow, and Thor. Two new Marvel specials are planned: 'Marvel’s Spidey and Iron Man: Avengers Team Up!' set for October 2025 and a Halloween-themed special in 2026. Disney Jr. renewed 'Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+' for two more seasons following its record-breaking launch. Disney Branded Television President Ayo Davis emphasized the company’s commitment to multiplatform storytelling for young audiences.
