Holly Holm Returns to Boxing Against Vega June 28
Holly Holm, 43, former UFC bantamweight champion and multi-division boxing world champion, is set to return to professional boxing after last competing in 2013. Holm has signed with Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions and will face undefeated Mexican lightweight Yolanda Vega, 29, in a 10-round, 135-pound bout on June 28 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, as part of the undercard for Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Vega, who holds a 10-0 record, will be making her U.S. debut in this matchup. Holm, with a 33-2-3 record and three world titles in different weight classes, aims to capture a fourth title in a new division. The fight is seen as a legacy-defining opportunity for Holm and a significant move for MVP, which is increasing its roster of elite female boxers. The event will be broadcast globally on DAZN pay-per-view.
