Team GB athletes are boycotting the food services in the Olympic village at the Paris 2024 Games due to inadequate quality and shortages, including raw meat and rationed eggs and chicken. British Olympic Association chief executive Andy Anson criticized the dining conditions, stating that athletes prefer to eat at their performance lodge in Clichy, prompting the need for additional chefs to handle the increased demand. Complaints have surfaced regarding chaotic food service, long queues, and poor organization compared to previous Olympics. Athletes are reportedly packing their own meals to avoid the communal dining space, which has over 3,000 seats. The catering company, Sodexo Live, acknowledged the feedback and is working to improve food supplies in response to the athletes' needs.
