Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj has accused the central government of misusing investigative agencies, particularly the Enforcement Directorate (ED), to exert pressure on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections. This follows claims by AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan that ED officials raided his home intending to arrest him in connection to a long-standing money laundering case tied to the Delhi Waqf Board. Bharadwaj emphasized that investigations over the past eight years have yielded no evidence against Khan, calling the ongoing scrutiny politically motivated. Union Minister Giriraj Singh countered these claims, asserting that AAP is a party surrounded by criminal allegations and emphasizing that legal processes will determine the outcome of any charges against Khan. The situation highlights rising tensions between AAP and the BJP, with both sides accusing each other of misconduct as the electoral battle looms.
