Duke's Tyrese Proctor Enters 2025 NBA Draft
Duke guard Tyrese Proctor, a 6-foot-6 Australian and key member of Jon Scheyer's first recruiting class, has declared for the 2025 NBA Draft, giving up his senior season. Proctor averaged 12.4 points, 3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game as a junior, shooting a career-best 40.5% from three-point range. Over his three-year Duke career, he scored more than 1,100 points and helped lead the team to two ACC Tournament titles, an Elite Eight, and a Final Four. Coach Jon Scheyer praised Proctor's leadership, defensive skills, and consistent improvement. Proctor is the second Duke starter to declare for the draft, following freshman Kon Knueppel, with additional freshmen reportedly expected to follow. His departure marks the end of a significant era for Duke basketball.
