On the International Day of Democracy, Karnataka witnessed a massive human chain initiative aimed at promoting democratic values and awareness of the Constitution, stretching 2,500 km across the state. In Mysuru district, around 60,000 participants formed a 58 km chain, while similar events took place in Yadgir, Raichur, and Dakshina Kannada, involving thousands of citizens, students, and government officials. The initiatives were marked by cultural performances, speeches from dignitaries, and a collective call to uphold democracy and human values. Notable figures emphasized the importance of unity and constitutional rights, reflecting on India's journey as a diverse democracy. The event not only highlighted the significance of democratic participation but also included plans to plant around 10 lakh trees in conjunction with the celebrations. The collective effort across various districts showcased a commitment to strengthening democracy in India.
