A New Year’s Eve balloon drop at the In The Game arcade in Peabody, Massachusetts, resulted in 10 minor injuries when a large Lego display fell onto the crowd. The incident occurred during a celebration when balloons attached to the display caused it to topple, leading to chaos as attendees, including children, were caught beneath it. Eight individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment, while two others declined medical assistance. Emergency services initially responded to reports of a ceiling collapse but later confirmed the situation was less severe than feared. The arcade reopened shortly after the incident, which was described as accidental. The venue is currently cooperating with authorities to assess the incident further.
