Honeywell Plans 2026 Aerospace Spin-Off With Currier CEO, Arnold Chairman

Honeywell has announced that Jim Currier will remain as President and CEO of Honeywell Aerospace after the planned spin-off of the aerospace business into a standalone publicly traded company expected in the second half of 2026. Currier, who has led Honeywell's Aerospace Technologies segment since August 2023 and has been with the company for 19 years, is considered well-suited to drive growth and efficiency in the new entity. Additionally, Craig Arnold, CEO of Eaton and former General Electric executive, will serve as the non-executive Chairman of the Honeywell Aerospace Board following the spin-off. Arnold has already joined Honeywell's Board of Directors in the interim period. This leadership structure is part of Honeywell’s broader restructuring plan, which also included spinning off its advanced materials business earlier. The company emphasizes that Currier and Arnold bring complementary expertise in aerospace and industrial operations to lead Honeywell Aerospace successfully in its new phase.
