LAPD Shoots Weezer Bassist's Wife Jillian Lauren During Police Pursuit

Jillian Lauren, the wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, was shot by police during a chaotic incident in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles, on April 8, which began with a hit-and-run involving three suspects. After fleeing the scene, Lauren emerged from her home armed with a handgun and allegedly pointed it at officers, leading to an officer-involved shooting where she was struck in the shoulder. Despite being injured, she retreated into her residence but later surrendered to police with her babysitter. Lauren was arrested and booked on suspicion of attempted murder, although she was found to be uninvolved in the initial hit-and-run incident.
