Florida Man Arrested for Targeting Disabled Children with Sprinklers at Bus Stop
Antonio Roman, a 61-year-old man from Ocala, Florida, was arrested for multiple charges including stalking and battery on disabled individuals after he deliberately used a surveillance and sprinkler system to spray two children with special needs waiting at a school bus stop near his home. The harassment began in April 2025 and escalated to Roman manually activating his sprinklers twice daily to soak the children as they were loaded and unloaded from the bus, prompting one father to wear swimming attire to protect his children. Investigations confirmed the sprinklers were aimed directly at the bus stop and activated in sync with the school bus's arrival and departure. Roman admitted to the actions, explaining his anger over the bus stop's location, which included a wheelchair ramp partially on his driveway. After a warrant was issued, Roman turned himself in to authorities upon returning from his secondary residence out of state and was taken into custody. The charges against him include four counts of stalking and battery on disabled persons, highlighting an unusual and troubling neighborhood dispute that escalated to criminal behavior.
