Umran Ali Javaid Plans Fun For Life Fest

Umran Ali Javaid, a Glasgow Caledonian University student and humanitarian, is organizing the 'Fun For Life Fest' on August 2, 2025, at Tollcross Park to raise funds for delivering ambulances to conflict zones. After successfully donating over 40 emergency vehicles to areas like Ukraine and Gaza, he aims to use the festival's proceeds to buy 15 additional ambulances, with 14 destined for various countries and one for a UK care home. The family-friendly event is expected to accommodate 15,000 attendees and feature musicians, comedians, an influencer football match, and creative workshops. Javaid, recognized as the Most Inspirational Student by the Association for Event Management Education, hopes to establish the festival as an annual three-day event in the future. He expressed enthusiasm about showcasing the park and providing a memorable experience for all ages. The festival will also include popular attractions like a ferris wheel and a drone light show.
