Santa Claus to Switch on Christmas Lights in Dungarvan

This weekend marks the start of the festive season with multiple Christmas light switch-on events across various towns. In Letterkenny, the lights will be turned on Sunday, November 24 at 6 PM, featuring performances by local artists and a surprise guest, along with a special appearance from Santa. Dungarvan Shopping Centre will also hold its light switch-on on the same day at 5 PM, with Santa escorted to the event by the Waterford Fire Service and local festivities planned to support shopping in the area. Meanwhile, Butchart Gardens in Victoria will illuminate its grounds on December 1, transforming into a winter wonderland with live performances and free carousel rides. Other holiday events include the Lights of the Ozarks and a tree lighting ceremony in Bentonville, both scheduled for this weekend. These celebrations aim to draw families together and support local businesses as the holiday season approaches.
