Josh Dobson Named President of North Carolina Healthcare Association

Josh Dobson, the former North Carolina labor commissioner, has been appointed as the new president and CEO of the North Carolina Healthcare Association (NCHA), succeeding Stephen Lawler who is retiring. Dobson announced his resignation from the labor department shortly after Republican Luke Farley was elected to replace him. With a background in healthcare policy and previous roles in the state legislature, Dobson expressed his commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility and sustainability in North Carolina. NCHA Board Chair Chris Peek praised Dobson's collaborative skills and his strong relationships within the healthcare community. Dobson will focus on understanding the challenges faced by healthcare providers and ensuring high-quality care remains accessible. Governor Roy Cooper has appointed Kevin O’Barr as interim labor commissioner until Farley assumes office in January.
