Wrexham Striker Paul Mullin Loans to Wigan for Regular Football

Paul Mullin has joined Wigan Athletic on a season-long loan from Wrexham as he seeks regular first-team football after a disrupted previous season due to back surgery. Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson confirmed that the loan move was Mullin's decision, emphasizing the player's need to regain form and fitness ahead of Wrexham's return to the Championship. Despite Mullin’s significant contributions to Wrexham's rise through the leagues and his strong emotional connection to the club, his playing opportunities at Championship level were limited. Wigan manager Ryan Lowe and Parkinson have both praised Mullin’s quality, and Wrexham retains the option to recall him in January should his form improve or the team require his services.
