Two Men Arrested After 14-Year-Old Girl Fatally Shot in Brunswick Home

A 14-year-old girl was fatally shot inside a home on Altama Avenue in Brunswick, Georgia, after a 17-year-old acquaintance, Daquarius Wallace, mishandled a firearm, causing it to discharge. Wallace was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, cruelty to children, possession of a firearm by a person under 18, and reckless conduct. A 21-year-old adult, Bobby Sullivan, who was present during the incident, was also arrested and faces charges including cruelty to children, theft by receiving stolen property, reckless conduct, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Both suspects are in custody of the Glynn County Sheriff's Office, and the victim's name has not been released pending family notification. An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Medical Examiner's Office. Authorities have requested that anyone with additional information contact the Brunswick Police Department or Silent Witness.
