The gown was crafted by Ismail Khan, who was later identified as involved in the kidnapping and has been on the run since. The investigation revealed that Ismail was connected to Aftab Alam, a trusted associate of Dawood, and that a portion of the ransom was intended for Dawood himself. Following the kidnapping, police arrested associates of Nitesh, who identified Ismail as the mastermind.
