Turbulence Injures Passengers on Qantas Flight
A woman in her 40s and a child under 10 were hospitalized with bruises and lacerations after experiencing severe turbulence on Qantas flight QF528 from Sydney to Brisbane. The incident occurred during the flight's descent into Brisbane Airport around 3:15 PM AEST. A third passenger also suffered injuries but declined medical treatment. Reports indicate that the injured individuals were not wearing seatbelts despite the seatbelt sign being activated five minutes prior to the turbulence. Qantas representatives acknowledged the unsettling nature of the event and affirmed that their crew is well-trained to handle such occurrences. Both injured passengers were taken to The Prince Charles Hospital in stable condition.
