Paul McCartney's 'High in the Clouds' Reveals Star-Studded Voice Cast

Paul McCartney's upcoming 3D animated film 'High in the Clouds,' based on his 2005 children's book, is set to premiere in 2027 and features an all-star voice cast including Céline Dion, Himesh Patel, Hannah Waddingham, Idris Elba, Lionel Richie, Ringo Starr, and Jimmy Fallon. The story follows Wirral, a teenage squirrel who leads a musical revolution against Gretsch, an owl who has banned music from their town, highlighting themes of family and freedom of expression through music. The film will include original songs by McCartney and a score by Oscar-winner Michael Giacchino, with the soundtrack to be released by Universal Music Group. Gaumont is producing and handling international distribution, having presold the film to major territories worldwide. Toby Genkel directs from a script by Jon Crocker, with production contributions from MPL Communications, Unique Features, Polygram Entertainment, and others. The project marks a major animated feature for McCartney, building anticipation with its acclaimed cast and creative team.
