

JP Nadda Promotes Sports and Membership Drive
Union Minister and BJP president JP Nadda has emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to enhancing sports facilities, citing a threefold increase in the budget for the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports under the BJP-led NDA government, now totaling Rs 3,342 crore. Nadda highlighted the success of India's athletes, particularly noting 29 medals at the recent Paris Paralympics, as a result of improved training and resources across 34 sports disciplines. He praised the 'Khelo India' scheme for promoting sports excellence, with 1,000 centres planned and 715 already operational. Additionally, Nadda is actively pushing the BJP's membership drive in Telangana, with a goal of reaching 50 lakh members ahead of upcoming elections. His recent visit to Patna included the felicitation of para-athletes, marking a significant recognition of their achievements. Nadda's initiatives reflect a broader strategy to strengthen the party's organizational base while supporting sports development in India.
