Father Charged With Manslaughter After Infant Dies From Malnutrition in CT

Kyle Vigneault, a 27-year-old father from Norwalk, Connecticut, has been arrested on charges of manslaughter in connection with the death of his 4-month-old daughter, who died from medical neglect and chronic malnutrition. The infant was reported to be choking on formula on June 11, 2024, and despite Vigneault's claim of performing CPR, she was pronounced dead at Norwalk Hospital. An investigation by local authorities and medical experts determined that her death resulted from complications related to malnutrition and necrotizing appendicitis, classifying it as a homicide. Vigneault has been charged with first-degree manslaughter, risk of injury to a child, and cruelty to persons, and is currently being held on a $125,000 bond.
