Three women from Tenali, Andhra Pradesh, identified as Munagappa Rajini, Madiyala Venkateshwari, and Gulra Ramanamma, have been arrested for a series of cyanide murders targeting vulnerable individuals since June 2023. The police report that the trio has killed four people, including three women, by offering them cyanide-laced drinks, subsequently stealing their valuables. Their first victim was a woman named Nagur B., and two other individuals survived after consuming the poisoned drinks. Venkateshwari, known for her previous criminal activities, allegedly sourced the cyanide from an accomplice who remains at large. The police have drawn parallels between this case and the infamous Jolly Joseph cyanide killings in Kerala, highlighting the dangers of trusting strangers. Investigations are ongoing as authorities suspect there may be more victims linked to the group.
