Borussia Dortmund nears talks with Ralf Rangnick for coaching position

Despite his experience, including a previous interim role at Manchester United, Rangnick is reportedly leaning towards declining the offer due to his existing contract with the Austrian national team, which lasts until the end of 2025. Dortmund is also in discussions with Niko Kovac, who prefers a long-term contract rather than a short-term interim role. In addition, the club is considering Sebastian Hoeneß as a potential long-term solution if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.
