The sudden squall brought hurricane-strength winds that sent passengers scrambling for safety as furniture was tossed around, and several sustained minor injuries. Dramatic footage captured the chaos onboard, with passengers expressing fear as they struggled to maintain their balance. Following the incident, the ship made an unscheduled stop in Las Palmas for medical assistance as one passenger required additional care. Royal Caribbean confirmed that all guests were asked to return to their cabins for a headcount, and the captain managed to stabilize the ship within minutes. The vessel was carrying approximately 4,290 passengers and 1,185 crew members at the time of the incident.
