Yang Liuyue, an 18-year-old weightlifter from Fujian, showcased her talent by winning both the snatch and overall gold medals in the women's 64kg category at the Chinese Women's Weightlifting National Championships. Competing fiercely against 20-year-old Li Shuang, Yang secured the snatch title with a record-tying lift of 110kg, while achieving an overall total of 240kg. In swimming, Qin Haiyang, a triple world champion, demonstrated his return to form at the Chinese Spring National Championships, winning the 200m breaststroke in 2:07.44 and the 100m in 58.66 seconds, performance that would have earned him medals at the recent Paris Olympics. He expressed confidence in regaining his best condition ahead of the World Championships in July. Meanwhile, in the Khelo India Para Games, Tamil Nadu's Ramesh Shanguman excelled, winning gold medals in the men's 800m and 100m T53/T54 events, highlighting his inspiring journey from tragedy to triumph in sports.
