Acton Woman Arrested in Simi Valley Stabbing

A 67-year-old Acton (Los Angeles County) woman was arrested Oct. 28 in Simi Valley on suspicion of attempted murder after police say she stabbed her sister in the neck during a home haircut. Officers responded around 11:15–11:20 p.m. to a residence on Katherine Road South and found the victim with a serious neck wound; officers rendered aid and the woman was transported to a hospital and is expected to survive. Police allege the suspect broke a wine glass and stabbed the victim with the shards; early reports mentioned scissors. The suspect was booked into the Ventura County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder, and investigators described the attack as occurring “without provocation” as the probe continues.
