Miami LB Adarius Hayes Released After Crash Kills Three, Investigation Continues
Miami Hurricanes linebacker Adarius Hayes was involved in a two-vehicle crash in Largo, Florida, that resulted in the deaths of three people, including a 78-year-old woman and two children. Hayes was driving a Dodge Durango that collided with a Kia Soul, which was carrying the victims; another passenger in the Kia sustained serious injuries. Hayes was hospitalized following the crash but has since been released, and no criminal charges or tickets have been issued as the investigation continues. Police reported no signs of impairment from either driver and are investigating factors such as speed. University of Miami expressed condolences to the families affected and noted that Hayes remains on the team roster while more information is gathered. Court records reveal Hayes has a history of traffic infractions, including careless driving and improper lane changes, with a previous license suspension that was later reinstated.
