New Bedford Launches NBConnected App for City Services

New Bedford has launched a new mobile app called NBConnected, designed to streamline access to municipal services for residents. Announced by Mayor Jon Mitchell, the app allows users to report issues like missed trash pickups and potholes, track service requests, pay bills, apply for permits, and explore job opportunities. Residents without smartphones can access the same services by calling 311, which provides assistance in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. The app consolidates previous services into one platform, enhancing efficiency and user experience. It also features a tracking system for service requests to foster transparency and trust between the city government and its residents. The app is available for download on both the Apple and Google Play stores.
