Ozone Action Day Declared for Dallas-Fort Worth October 2, 2025
Northern Ohio will experience unusually warm fall weather this weekend, with temperatures reaching the lower 80s, about 10 to 15 degrees above normal. Thursday night will be partly cloudy and cool, with lows near 50 degrees, requiring light jackets or sweatshirts Friday morning. Despite the warmth, drought conditions persist and are expected to worsen due to lack of rain until a cold front arrives mid-next week. The weekend weather in the region is ideal for outdoor fall activities, such as the 53rd Annual Woollybear Festival in Vermilion. Meanwhile, in other parts of the country, the Dallas-Fort Worth area has been issued an Ozone Action Day due to atmospheric conditions favoring high ozone pollution levels, prompting public advisories to reduce emissions. Additionally, some regions can expect showers and storms tonight, with highs in the upper 80s and a chance of rain over the weekend, though Friday should be dry with lower humidity.
