Wyoming, Indiana State, Nazareth High School Retire Jerseys For NFL Players

Josh Allen, reigning NFL MVP and University of Wyoming alumnus, will have his No. 17 jersey retired during the Cowboys' home finale on November 22 against Nevada, marking the first jersey retirement in the program's history. Allen played at Wyoming from 2015 to 2017, accumulating over 5,800 yards of total offense and 57 touchdowns, leading the team to two eight-win seasons and a Mountain West Championship game appearance. His iconic moment includes a legendary tackle in the 2016 Mountain West Championship game that prevented a pick-six, turning a mistake into a momentum-shifting play. Allen was drafted seventh overall by the Buffalo Bills in 2018 and has since led the team to multiple AFC East titles and two conference championship games. Alongside the jersey retirement, Allen will be inducted into the University of Wyoming Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame.
