College GameDay to Air Live from UC Berkeley

For the first time ever, ESPN's College GameDay will broadcast live from UC Berkeley's campus this Saturday, ahead of the Golden Bears' first home ACC game against No. 7 Miami. The show will air from 6 to 9 a.m. PT at Memorial Glade, and fans are encouraged to arrive early to secure a good spot. This marks a significant event for Cal, as it has never hosted College GameDay despite participating in three previous away games featured by the show. Cal Athletic Director Jim Knowlton and UC Berkeley Chancellor Rich Lyons have expressed excitement and pride in showcasing the university and its community on the national stage. The decision to bring College GameDay to Berkeley comes amidst a strong start to the season for Cal, currently holding a 3-1 record. Special early BART train services will be available from 5 a.m. to accommodate the early start time.
