Tata Elxsi, Garuda Aerospace Partner to Establish UAV Center

Tata Elxsi has partnered with Garuda Aerospace to establish a design, engineering, and certification center for indigenous drone technologies, announced during Aero India 2025. This collaboration aims to support India's defense, agriculture, and smart city initiatives under the 'Make in India' initiative, emphasizing advancements in AI-powered unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Tata Elxsi will lead the design and certification of UAV subsystems, while Garuda Aerospace will focus on business acquisition and delivery. The initiative is expected to enhance UAV capabilities for the Indian defense forces and the Border Security Force, creating new job opportunities in the aerospace sector. Prototypes and operational UAVs will be showcased at the airshow, highlighting India's growing expertise in autonomous drone technologies. This partnership is viewed as a significant milestone in strengthening India's self-reliance in aerospace technologies.
