Delvey revealed that her acceptance into the show was contingent on receiving permission from ICE due to her ongoing house arrest, which took about 10 days to obtain. Despite being in the spotlight, she expressed indifference towards winning the competition, stating that taking home the mirrorball trophy would mean 'nothing' to her. Sosa, however, is eager for victory and expressed his admiration for Delvey, noting that it would mean more to him. Delvey plans to embrace her ankle monitor, even humorously suggesting she would rhinestone it for the show. She is also excited to take Sosa to New York Fashion Week, where she will be producing several shows.
