France Rugby Players Return After Dismissed Charges
Hugo Auradou and Oscar Jegou, who faced rape allegations in Argentina, have been included in France's 42-man squad for the upcoming Six Nations after an Argentine court dismissed the charges against them. The players, both 21, always maintained that the sexual encounter was consensual, and the complainant has appealed the court's decision, with a hearing scheduled for February 10. France coach Fabien Galthie stated that following the dismissal of the case, the players are considered innocent and are eligible for selection based on their club performances. Auradou and Jegou, who have recently resumed playing with their respective clubs, will join the team as they prepare to face Wales on January 31. Additionally, Antoine Dupont returns for his first Six Nations since 2023, while Romain Ntamack continues to recover from injury. The inclusion of Auradou and Jegou has drawn significant attention, given the circumstances surrounding their prior investigation.
