Multi-State Crashes Kill 3, Spur Safety Concerns

Two people were killed and one was hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on northbound Interstate 55 near Lemont Road in DuPage County, Illinois, prompting the closure of all northbound lanes and related ramps. In a separate incident the same night, a head-on collision at a known dangerous intersection on Wis. 81 near Brodhead, Wisconsin, left one person dead and several seriously injured.
