Miami Fire-Rescue Extinguishes Boat Fire Damaging Four Vessels in Coconut Grove

Early Tuesday morning, two boats measuring between 30 and 40 feet caught fire at the Grove Isle Club & Resort marina in Coconut Grove, Miami, prompting a rapid response from Miami Fire Rescue. The fire was quickly elevated to a Code 1 working fire, leading to the deployment of additional resources including the Miami Fireboat and Hazardous Materials Team. Firefighters aggressively attacked the blaze using hose lines and foam, bringing it under control within 10 minutes and preventing the fire from spreading to nearby boats, which suffered only exterior heat damage. No injuries were reported, and the Miami Fire Investigation Unit along with the U.S. Coast Guard are investigating the cause of the fire. This incident is part of a recent series of boat fires in South Florida, including a notable fire on June 6 in Sunny Isles Beach that damaged multiple boats.
