Swiatek Wins Wimbledon After Suspension Comeback

Iga Swiatek won her first Wimbledon title and sixth Grand Slam by defeating Amanda Anisimova 6-0, 6-0, in the most dominant women's final at Wimbledon since 1911. The match lasted just 57 minutes, making it one of the most one-sided Grand Slam finals and only the third double-bagel in women's major final history. Swiatek's victory comes after returning from a brief suspension for an inadvertent doping violation earlier in 2024, making her triumph on grass especially notable given her previous struggles on the surface.
