Three Players Named to Julius Erving Award Watch List

The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame has announced the 20-player Preseason Watch List for the 2025 Julius Erving Award, recognizing the top small forwards in Division I men's college basketball. Notable inclusions are Matthew Cleveland from the University of Miami, who averaged 13.7 points and 6.1 rebounds last season, and Kansas junior Jaden Storr, who previously led Wisconsin with 16.8 points per game. UConn freshman Liam McNeeley, a highly regarded McDonald's All-American, is also on the list, although his participation in the season opener is uncertain due to a recent injury. Fans can vote for their favorite players starting November 1, with the list being narrowed down throughout the season. The awards will culminate in March when finalists are presented to the selection committees for final consideration. Previous winners include Jalen Wilson of Kansas (2023) and Dalton Knecht of Tennessee (2024).
