Texas Minister Arrested for Distributing Child Pornography Exhibiting Extensive Abuse

Jon Paul Sheptock, the worship minister at First Montgomery Baptist Church in Montgomery, Texas, has been charged with distributing child pornography after nude photos of underage girls were found on his computer. The investigation began when a 26-year-old woman reported that Sheptock stole a nude image of her from her iCloud account when she was 17, then sent it back to her asking for more explicit images, along with a threatening video. Sheptock also showed the victim multiple nude photos of women and young girls and sent her a nude photo of young girls as recently as October 2025. He was arrested while ministering at a women's state prison in central Texas and was immediately removed from all church responsibilities. The First Montgomery Baptist Church has stated that Sheptock did not have direct oversight of children except occasionally in large group settings and expressed full cooperation with law enforcement. The charges carry a potential prison sentence of two to 20 years as authorities continue to investigate and seek additional information.
