Seattle Police Investigate Multiple Smash-and-Grab Incidents at Pot Shops

Seattle has experienced a series of crash-and-grab burglaries targeting cannabis shops, with multiple incidents reported in recent days. Early Friday, The Reef Cannabis on Capitol Hill and another pot shop in Georgetown were hit, causing significant structural damage, although it remains unclear what was stolen (KOMO News). Similarly, Kemp's Cannabis in Belltown was broken into on Wednesday, where about a dozen people were seen stealing products after crashing a car into the storefront (FOX 13 Seattle, KING 5). This incident follows a previous break-in at another Kemp's location last month using a similar tactic (KIRO 7, KOMO News). Police investigations are ongoing, with no arrests reported yet as suspects had fled the scenes before authorities arrived (KIRO 7, FOX 13 Seattle). Surveillance footage is being reviewed to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
