North Las Vegas Officer Killed In Shootout, Suspect Dead

North Las Vegas police officer Jason Roscow, 46, was tragically killed in a shooting incident while responding to a report of a person pointing a gun at another individual on Tuesday. Roscow, a 17-year veteran of the department known for his exemplary service, was shot multiple times during an exchange of gunfire with the suspect, who was also killed. The incident occurred around 2:15 p.m. near Lone Mountain Road and Camino Al Norte, where the suspect ignored orders and approached Roscow instead of complying. Both Roscow and the suspect were transported to the hospital, where Roscow succumbed to his injuries. The North Las Vegas Police Department expressed deep sorrow over the loss, highlighting the risks that officers face in their duty to protect the community.
