Pakistani Military Kills 12 Terrorists in Operations

Pakistani security forces conducted two intelligence-based operations in the provinces of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing a total of 12 militants, including a high-value target, Sana alias Baru, a commander linked to the Majeed Brigade. The first operation took place in Kech district, where four terrorists were killed after intense gunfire, while the second operation in North Waziristan resulted in the deaths of eight militants during a raid on their hideout. The military stated that the operations were part of ongoing efforts to combat insurgency, especially in light of recent attacks attributed to groups like the Pakistani Taliban and the Baloch Liberation Army. Security forces are currently conducting sanitization operations to eliminate any remaining threats in the areas. This crackdown comes amid escalating violence and the resurgence of militant activity following a ceasefire breakdown with the TTP in 2022. The military reaffirmed its commitment to maintain peace and stability in these troubled regions.
