Littell shuts out Cleveland

Zack Littell delivered a dominant performance, shutting down the Cleveland Guardians for six innings, leading the Tampa Bay Rays to a 3-1 victory. Littell, who allowed only two hits, extended his scoreless innings streak to 13 and improved his career record against the Guardians to 4-0. Rookie Logan Driscoll made his mark by hitting his first major league home run, a two-run shot in the third inning, while Jonathan Aranda also contributed with a homer in the fourth. The Guardians managed to score only in the eighth, with Jhonkensy Noel and David Fry hitting back-to-back doubles. This loss, combined with Kansas City's win, narrowed Cleveland's division lead to three games. The Guardians played without All-Star left fielder Steven Kwan due to back soreness.
