Purdue hires Austin Appleby as offensive analyst

Former Purdue quarterback Austin Appleby is returning to West Lafayette to join Purdue's football coaching staff as an offensive analyst. Appleby played for Purdue from 2012 to 2015, starting 11 of 16 games and throwing for 2,777 yards with 19 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. After finishing his college playing career at Florida in 2016, he had brief professional stints with the Dallas Cowboys, Alliance of American Football, and the Canadian Football League before retiring. Appleby began his coaching career at Mount Union and Central Michigan, later coaching wide receivers at Missouri State and UAB. He now joins Barry Odom's staff at Purdue, adding to a roster of support staff and analysts. His return marks a homecoming to the university where his collegiate football journey began.
