Ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, two factions of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) are launching rival outreach campaigns. Ajit Pawar's campaign emphasizes unity with alliance partners BJP and Shiv Sena, while Sharad Pawar's seeks to evoke regional pride and self-respect among voters. Both leaders are attempting to appeal to various demographics, including women, youth, and marginalized communities, while criticizing each other's strategies. The Maharashtra Assembly elections are scheduled for mid-October 2024.
