Two Teens Charged with Three Armed Robberies in Bethesda

Two juvenile males were arrested and charged with three armed robberies at the Geste Beer & Wine store in Bethesda, Maryland, that took place between July 8 and 10. The suspects allegedly threatened store employees with an implied firearm during the incidents and stole money from the cash register. Police identified the suspects through surveillance footage from the store and a nearby Metro station, leading to their arrest when officers spotted them attempting another robbery on July 10. Each suspect faces two counts of armed robbery and one count of robbery, and both have been referred to the Department of Juvenile Services, currently being held at a youth facility. The repeated targeting of the store reflects a broader trend, as the owner reported more than a dozen robberies at the location over the past year. Police had been patrolling the area following the prior robberies, which facilitated the suspects' apprehension during the attempted third robbery.
