Police Investigate Sexual Assaults in Gloucester, Devon

Police in Gloucester are appealing for the victim of a sexual assault at a TK Maxx store on Northgate Street to come forward. The incident occurred on July 29, when a man allegedly grabbed the buttocks of a woman inside the store; she and her friend reported it to a store manager who informed the police. A 33-year-old man from Powys was arrested as he tried to leave the store but has since been released on bail while investigations continue. Officers have been unable to locate the two women after they left the scene and are urging them to provide statements, describing one woman as in her 20s with blonde hair wearing black clothing, and the other in her 30s with black hair wearing an orange top. Separately, Devon and Cornwall Police are investigating a serious sexual assault near a Methodist church on the A388 in Liftondown, Devon, which occurred around 1 a.m. on August 2. Authorities there are appealing for dashcam footage from that area between midnight and 2 a.m. to assist in the investigation and have assured that the victim is receiving support from specially trained officers.
