Jayson Tatum suffers ankle injury in Celtics' win over Kings
In a strong performance, Jayson Tatum scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and eight assists before injuring his left ankle during the Boston Celtics' 113-95 victory over the Sacramento Kings. The injury occurred late in the third quarter when Tatum landed on Kings center Domantas Sabonis' foot after attempting a three-pointer, resulting in a flagrant foul on Sabonis. Although he played through the pain long enough to take two free throws, Tatum was later helped to the locker room and was labeled doubtful to return. Payton Pritchard added 22 points off the bench, contributing to the Celtics' sixth consecutive win. The Celtics' shooting from beyond the arc was notably effective, with 19 three-pointers made during the game. Fans have since rallied in support of Tatum, hoping for a quick recovery as he continues to have an MVP-caliber season.
