Las Cruces Shooting Injures Two, Suspects Flee Scene

Las Cruces police are actively investigating a shooting incident that occurred around 11:20 p.m. on October 29 near the 1900 block of North Main Street, where a 36-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were shot while crossing the street. Both victims were transported to a hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Authorities reported that two men, one believed to be the shooter, fled the scene east along a pathway adjacent to a drainage ditch, but despite searches, they remain at large. Descriptions provided by witnesses identify one suspect as a short Hispanic man and the other as a tall, skinny Hispanic man.
